We arrived at a quiet time of the season - last week of skiing season. We booked an ordinary double rooom but we were upgraded into a large luxurious double room. New, clean, well maintained. Excellent wellness center with good pool, various saunas, steam room etc. Large room with balcony and rooftop area. Large bathroom. A free upgrade for us from a standard double room. Not a factory-huge, but comfortable and a very clean hotel with a wide and tasty breakfast buffet. Quiet, well suitable for families with kids. Spacious, clean rooms with a balcony, minibar, safe and a TV set, with the internet connection, tided up every day, in case of our room with a beautiful view of Kaprun and the surrounding mountains. Very friendly family atmosphere, where nothing was a problem. We felt really welcome and that's worth another star. Thank you! On arrival the reception and bar area looks to be run down but it was just poorly designed and not up to 4 star status although the upstairs bar/restaurant makes up for it. There are also two parts to the restaurant,one is plain but the other that we asked to move [and were so straight away with no problem] too was full of atmosphere with excellent service from the waitresses. A very good hotel. Room very large and clean every day. Staff is very, very friendly. Breakfast with fresh bread and a lot of choise. Diner food and its choise is super!
